SAMA TERMS & CONDITIONS
Event Cancellation Policy
Full credits will be issued 30 days from the start of our events and the start of our online and Self-led* courses by written request only. Less than 30 days from the start of an event or start of online and Self-led* courses, all registration fees are forfeited. For no-shows and incompletes, registration fees are also forfeited.
No-shows are any registrant who fails to show up to a scheduled event. Incompletes are any registrant who attends but subsequently is not present for the entire event and hence will not receive course completion credit of any kind. SAMA incurs costs, including to our training partners when registrants cancel within the 30-day window.
Substitute registrations (a colleague taking your place) are gladly accepted for in-person and online (not Self-led) events, prior to the Friday before the event. Only one substitution is permitted per original registration. All substitution requests must be received, in writing, the Friday before an event begins.
Please send all credit and substitution requests to registration@strategicaccounts.org.
*Due to rolling enrollment for Self-led workshops, if you choose to start a class immediately, there is no refund period. If you register beyond 30 days to your start date, the cancellation policy above applies. Standard cancellation policy applies for non-rolling enrollment classes.
SAMA reserves the right to cancel any session that does not meet a minimum number of registrants in order to ensure a quality learning experience. Sessions may also be cancelled due to unusual and extenuating circumstances including natural disasters. If a session is cancelled due to low numbers, each registrant will be notified by SAMA no later than four weeks for in-person and two weeks for online courses prior to the session start date. In cases of unusual and extenuating circumstances, including emergencies, each registrant will be notified by SAMA as soon as possible. If available, an attendee may substitute into another session at the event. If no other sessions are available, or the session has been cancelled due to an unusual circumstance, a full refund for that session will be issued. SAMA will not refund or reimburse for any other expenses, including, but not limited to, hotel reservations and travel expenditures.
Prepaid CSAM fees are non-refundable and candidates are subject to the same cancellation and fee forfeiture structure as all other attendees listed above. Candidates are responsible for any and all fees associated with completing their certification, including any penalties imposed by last minute cancellations, no-shows, incompletes, substitutions or lapse in membership. Prepaid candidates will be invoiced for any outstanding fees associated with their certification and will not receive a certificate of completion until payment is received. Substitutions are subject to approval by our Certification & Training team. Prepaid fees may not be substituted for private workshops. Please email certification@strategicaccounts.org for substitutions and any other questions regarding your prepaid certification.

If Corporate Member refuses to pay year 2, the candidate will be immediately withdrawn from the program and SAMA will bill member the entire cost of the program. To be eligible, the chosen candidate must be new to the CSAM program and not have completed any courses to count towards certification. The candidate must begin enrollment in year 1 of the membership term and complete the program within 24 months. The benefit may not be split across multiple candidates. SAMA's existing event cancellation policy applies. If a training unit is forfeited due to the candidate cancelling inside the 30 days, the primary point of contact may use any available free training units to cover the forfeited unit(s), otherwise they will be billed $800 per unit, due prior to registering for the last course needed to complete this CSAM milestone. The original candidate may be replaced by a substitution candidate once and fees apply. Upon receipt of fees owed, the substituted candidate will have 24 months to complete the program. The current candidate will not be able to complete the final review milestone nor receive the certification designation until the Corporate Member pays year 2 of membership and any owed fees from forfeited units and/or candidate substitutions. If the substituted candidate's participation continues beyond the 2-year term commitment, the company must remain an active Corporate Member for the substituted candidate to complete the final review milestone and receive the certification designation, e.g. pay $18,000 for year 3.
For those Corporate Members choosing to utilize the SAMA Certification benefit, all other benefits will renew in year 2. Choice options for Corporate and Innovator members, become choose 2 of 4 and choose 1 of 2, respectively.
For Innovator Members utilizing the SAMA Certification benefits, $4,850 will be due prior to the candidate enrolling in the CSAM program and is non-refundable. If the member decides to not move forward with the Certification benefit after payment is received, the member may use the credit towards another SAMA service, except external certification. The credit expires 2 years from date of payment if unused.
