SAMA CANCELLATION POLICY
Full credits will be issued 30 days from the start of our events and the start of our online and Self-led* courses by written request only. Less than 30 days from the start of an event or start of online and Self-led* courses, all registration fees are forfeited. For no-shows and incompletes, registration fees are also forfeited.
No-shows are any registrant who fails to show up to a scheduled event. Incompletes are any registrant who attends but subsequently is not present for the entire event and hence will not receive course completion credit of any kind. SAMA incurs costs, including to our training partners when registrants cancel within the 30-day window.
Substitute registrations (a colleague taking your place) are gladly accepted for in-person and online (not Self-led) events, prior to the Friday before the event. Only one substitution is permitted per original registration. All substitution requests must be received by the date listed in the table above.
Please send all credit and substitution requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Due to rolling enrollment for Self-led workshops, if you choose to start a class immediately, there is no refund period. If you register beyond 30 days to your start date, the cancellation policy above applies. Standard cancellation policy applies for non-rolling enrollment classes.
**Notice: In the event of cancellation and you were registered for our in-person 2020 Annual Conference in San Diego before August 1, and decided to take advantage of our same price bundle offering to attend both our 2020 Virtual Annual Conference and 2021 Annual Conference, and need to cancel one or the other or both, you will not receive any kind of refund or credit. Substitutions are also not allowed. The cancellation dates referred to in the grid above apply only to new registrations occurring August 2 or later.
SAMA reserves the right to cancel any session that does not meet a minimum number of registrants in order to ensure a quality learning experience. Sessions may also be cancelled due to unusual and extenuating circumstances including natural disasters. If a session is cancelled due to low numbers, each registrant will be notified by SAMA no later than four weeks for in-person and two weeks for online courses prior to the session start date. In cases of unusual and extenuating circumstances, including emergencies, each registrant will be notified by SAMA as soon as possible. If available, an attendee may substitute into another session at the event. If no other sessions are available, or the session has been cancelled due to an unusual circumstance, a full refund for that session will be issued. SAMA will not refund or reimburse for any other expenses, including, but not limited to, hotel reservations and travel expenditures.
Prepaid CSAM fees are non-refundable and candidates are subject to the same cancellation and fee forfeiture structure as all other attendees listed above. Candidates are responsible for any and all fees associated with completing their certification, including any penalties imposed by last minute cancellations, no-shows, incompletes or substitutions. Prepaid candidates will be invoiced for any outstanding fees associated with their certification and will not receive a certificate of completion until payment is received. Substitutions are subject to approval by our Certification & Training team. Please email email@example.com for substitutions and any other questions regarding your prepaid certification.

They are not valid for use toward Self-led workshops. CMTUs will be returned in full if cancellation notice is given 15 days or more from the start of the event. 14 days or less from the event, the CMTU will be forfeited. No-shows forfeit the CMTU(s) used. Substitutions are allowed up to the Friday before an event begins.

Free conference seats will be returned in full if cancellation notice is given 15 days or more from the start of the event. 14 days or less from the event, the conference seat will be forfeited. No-shows forfeit their conference seat. Substitutions are allowed up to the Friday before an event begins.
