While there exist some important differences in the implementation of strategic account management within various industries’ business models, there is remarkable consistency around the foundational skills desired in strategic account managers. SAMA’s CSAM graduates must complete the full CSAM curriculum and have their work validated by both SAMA and their manager.
Upon successful completion of SAMA’s certification program, the Certified Strategic Account Manager (CSAM) designation will be awarded.
The CSAM process is designed to measure demonstrable behavioral change – it is not simply a certificate of completion of a number of training modules. As a CSAM, you will not be doing the same things you currently do better. You will be doing things differently.
