Danielle Matteson Appointed to the SAMA Board of Directors

Chicago, IL – December 2025 – The Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA) is excited to announce the appointment of Danielle Matteson, Senior Director of Global Advanced Services & CX Strategic Accounts at Pure Storage, Inc., to its Board of Directors.

Danielle brings nearly a decade of experience building and leading strategic account management programs that drive measurable customer and business impact. At Pure Storage, she founded and leads the company’s CX Global Strategic Account program, focused on its largest and most critical customer relationships. Within its first year, the program accelerated year-over-year bookings and significantly boosted customer loyalty scores.

Prior to joining Pure Storage, Danielle was a founding leader of AVI-SPL’s Global Strategic Accounts program, where she oversaw more than $400M in revenue. Under her leadership, the program achieved 42% growth in revenue — outpacing both company and industry benchmarks — and earned multiple SAMA Excellence Awards for Outstanding Program of the Year from 2019 to 2022.

Beyond her executive roles, Danielle is a Certified Strategic Account Manager (CSAM), a frequent speaker at SAMA conferences, and an active contributor to the SAMA community as a Customer Advisory Board member and Excellence Awards judge. She is also a passionate advocate for gender equality in tech, serving as a champion for Women@Pure and co-chairing diversity initiatives in past roles.
